Day 1 • Nashville, TN: We begin this tour with a
pleasant drive through Ohio. We will overnight in Music City
USA.Day 2 • Memphis, Tennessee :
We continue our travels to Memphis for our overnight stay. (CB,
D)
Day 3 • Arkansas : Today, we will enjoy
a picture stop at the capitol building in Little Rock,
Arkansas, before visiting the national historic site of
Fort Smith and seeing the courtroom of the Hanging Judge. This
afternoon, we will travel into Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where we
will overnight. (CB)
Day 4 • Oklahoma City, Oklahoma : After
a stop to see the oil wells pumping in front of the capitol
building, we will visit the Oklahoma City Memorial Site
and tour the Memorial Center. The Oklahoma City National
Memorial honors the victims, survivors, rescuers and all who
were changed forever on April 19, 1995. This afternoon we visit
Palo Duro Canyon State Park. Overnight in
Amarillo, TX. (CB, D)
Day 5 • Old Town Albuquerque : Enjoy a
day of travel through Texas before we overnight in Gallup, New
Mexico. Enjoy an afternoon of shopping in Old Town
Albuquerque. (CB)
Day 6 • Natural Bridges : Today begins
with a stop at the Four Corners Monument. Take
a picture as you stand in four states at the same time! We enter
the Red Canyonlands of Utah to view the first of many
unforgettable sights at Natural Bridges National
Monument. Dinner is included at Gouldings Monument
Valley Lodge. It was here the famous John Wayne movie Stagecoach
was filmed. We’ll overnight in Kayenta, Arizona. (CB, D)
Day 7 • Lake Powell : Today, we travel
to Page, Arizona and spend a delightful day on a boat trip that
includes a stop at our largest natural bridge, the
Rainbow Bridge. We’ll overnight in Page, Arizona. (CB,
BL)
Day 8 • Grand Canyon, North Rim : Today,
we’ll be visiting the north rim of the Grand Canyon.
You will have time for lunch and shopping on you own. Then
travel to Mt. Carmel Junction, Utah, which will be our home for
the next two nights. (CB, D)
Day 9 • Zion National Park : In Zion
Park, you will board a shuttle that will take you to various
points of interest. The ride is narrated and board and re board
at your own choosing. Also, included today is admission to the
Zion Imax Theater. (CB)
Day 10 • Bryce Canyon National Park : In
the heart of the Red Canyonlands, Bryce Canyon
will offer many beautiful photo opportunities, including Natural
Bridge, Rainbow Point, Bryce Point and Inspiration Point. (CB)
Day 11 • Arches National Park : Marvel
at the breathtaking canyons, great colored pinnacles, arches,
and endless vistas as we travel to Moab, Utah, today. (CB, L)
Day 12 • Denver, Colorado : Today, we
will travel to the Mile High City with lunch and shopping on
your own in Vail. Travel through the Eisenhower Tunnel en route
to Denver where we will do a picture stop at the capitol
building. (CB)
Day 13 • Kansas : Today’s travel route
takes us through the rich farmlands of Kansas-the Land
of Oz. We will overnight in Salina, Kansas. (CB)
Day 14 • Eisenhower & Truman : Today,
we’ll learn a little more about two favorite Presidents as we
tour the Eisenhower Center in Abilene, Kansas,
and the Truman Library & Museum in
Independence, Missouri. (CB)
Day 15 • Terre Haute, IN : Enjoy a
scenic travel day as we head to Terre Haute, Indiana for
overnight via St. Louis. (CB)
Day 16 • Home : Lunch is included today at Schmidts
in the German Village of Columbus before we
travel home with picturesque memories of the beautiful Red
Canyonlands. (CB, L)
