SATURDAY: Our private guided walking tour through Jamestown settlement will give you a first-hand view of the community that preceded the landing of the pilgrims in Massachusetts by thirteen years. You can compare and contrast English Christmas customs of the period with how the season may have been observed in the difficult early years of the Colony. (D)

SUNDAY: During the day, explore Colonial Williamsburg at your leisure. Before your "Grand Illumination" meal at Christiana Campbell's, we will have a guided tour of the area's historic holiday decorations. Following dinner, we will assemble for the "Grand Illumination" and the much-anticipated beginning of the Christmas season. (B, D)

MONDAY: At the Yorktown Victory Center hear accounts of Christmas and winter in the military encampments during the American Revolution and see holiday preparations on a 1780 Virginia farm. Then take time to explore the Yorktown Market Days featuring products from the local community in a tranquil setting by the river.  (B)
