DAY 1:
We begin our tour today and head east to Albany,
NY where we’ll overnight tonight. Dinner is on our own this evening.
DAY
2: We depart this morning and travel
east into Massachusetts. At Plymouth, where we’ll
spend the next four nights, we’ll see the Plymouth Rock and the
Mayflower II sitting in the harbor. We’ll also visit the Grist Mill and
learn much about the early Pilgrims. Dinner is included this evening at
one of the area’s fine restaurants. (B,D)
DAY 3:
We’ll begin this morning with a tour of Hyannis
with a stop at the Kennedy Memorial. Travel along the picturesque Route
6A (Old Kings Highway) considered one of the most beautiful roads in
America. Here we’ll visit a sea captain’s home and quaint villages. We
visit traditional wind mills and lighthouses. This afternoon we witness
the exciting giants of the deep on what will be a memorable whale
cruise. Later, we’ll stop for a delectable Lobster Dinner on the way
back to our hotel. (B,D)
DAY 4:
After breakfast we depart for the Woods Hole to
board a ferry for Martha’s Vineyard. Many celebrities have their
vacation homes here and it is popular with vacationers for day trips.
Colorful Victorian cottages and the picturesque harbor at Oak Bluffs
greet us upon arrival, along with our local guide who will take us on a
tour of the island. After a full day of touring and sightseeing, we
return to the mainland for dinner. (B,D)
DAY 5:
After breakfast this morning, we’ll travel to
Hyannis to board the ferry to Nantucket. This island, fondly known as
"The Gray Lady," was once the whaling capital of the world back in the
1800’s. Now a popular vacationing spot for the wealthy, Nantucket’s
charm is associated with its cobblestone main street, narrow roads,
simple Quaker-style homes and handsome houses dating back to the whaling
days of the of the early 19th century. Enjoy free time exploring the
many charming shops before returning by ferry back to the mainland.
Enjoy another fine Dinner this evening. (B,D)
DAY 6:
This morning after breakfast we depart once again
for New York, staying this evening at Turning Stone. Dinner is once
again included this evening. (B, D)
DAY 7:
After breakfast we depart for home, taking with us
fond memories of our Cape Cod Odyssey. (B)
