Sailing onboard the Flagship Niagara is a unique opportunity to sail on the reconstructed warship that won the War of 1812.  

Your adventure will include explanations of the various tasks and maneuvers as the crew of professionals and longer-service trainees perform them. Should you wish, you can lend a hand in “walking away” with the halyards to hoist the topsails. If you are especially enthusiastic, you can get even more involved with sail handling under the close supervision of the crew.  

Before sailing we will tour the Erie Maritime Museum which vividly exhibits the history of the ship and the area’s rich maritime heritage. 

Duration of the sail is about five hours, and large hearty stew (with a vegetarian alternative), designed for sailors will be served for dinner.  Watch 8 minute Niagara video
