Day 1 • Rome, NY: A scenic
travel day to Rome for our overnight. We will enjoy dinner and a
welcome reception tonight at our lovely Beeches Inn
Resort estate. (L, D)
Day 2 • Montreal : Today we travel
through the beautiful 1000 Islands to Montreal.
We enjoy a guided tour of Montreal including
Mount Royal, the Old Port, Notre Dame Basilica and picture
taking at St. Joseph’s Oratory and Olympic Stadium. Our mid-town
hotel is close to dining and shopping opportunities. (CB)
Day 3 • Quebec City : Enjoy traveling to
Quebec City, the capital of Quebec Province.
Quebec is the largest walled city north of Mexico. After time on
your own in old city, we have a narrated sightseeing
tour. This evening is free for you to do as you wish.
Our hotel is located inside the Old City of Quebec. (CB)
Day 4 • Miramichi, NB : Travel back
across the St. Lawrence River. Visit the famous wood carvings in
St. Jean Port Joli. Enjoy a lovely lunch in
Rimouski. Then we travel to Notre Dame Portage, Quebec
and continue to Miramichi, NB for our
overnight. (CB, L, D)
Day 5 • Acadian Coast : Hunter
River, PEI: Today we journey to Prince Edward
Island making stops at the Olivier Soapery
for a guided tour followed by a visit to Le Pays de la
Sagouine in Bouctouche. We continue over the
Confederation Bridge to PEI where we make
our home for the next two evenings. Tonight enjoy a lobster
dinner. (D)
Day 6 • Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island :
Today we have a guided tour of Prince Edward Island,
known as the "Garden Province." Author Lucy Maud Montgomery drew
her inspiration from the land during the late Victorian Era for
the setting of her classic "Anne of
Green
Gables" which we see tonight.
Day 7 • Baddeck, Nova Scotia : Today we
return to Cape Breton via the Wood
Islands Ferry. We traverse the Canso Causeway
as we make our way to Cape Breton. We visit the
Alexander Graham Bell Museum prior to checking into our
hotel for the next two evenings.
Day 8 • Cabot Trail : Today we will
enjoy this beautiful scenic highway beginning in the
Bras d’Or Lake area and extending along the coast for
over 180 miles - one of the most beautiful drives in North
America. We will stop at the Keltic Lodge for
ice cream before returning to our hotel to enjoy a free evening
in this beautiful area.
Day 9 • Halifax : Enjoy a scenic trip to
Halifax where we take a guided tour of this interesting
city. Including stops at the Maritime Museum
and Halifax Public Gardens and the
cemetery where many victims of the Titanic are buried.
Be our guest for English tea and biscuits today. Halifax is our
home for the next two evenings.
Day
10 • Peggy’s Cove - Evangeline Trail:
We begin our day with a visit to Peggy’s Cove.
This afternoon we will visit the famed Evangeline Trail
which runs along the sea through Acadian Country. Tonight you
are free to enjoy the busy Halifax waterfront having dinner on
your own. (CB)
Day 11 • St. John, NB : We say good-bye
to Halifax and journey back to New Brunswick.
We visit Hopewell Rocks where you can walk on
the ocean floor and Fundy National Park. Our
day concludes with a picture stop at Reversing Falls
before checking into our hotel. (CB)
Day 12 • St. Andrews-by-the Sea : Enjoy
shopping time at charming St. Andrews-by-the-Sea
as we head back to Maine where we will overnight in
Waterville, ME. (CB)
Day 13 • Freeport, ME : We have a
picture stop this morning at the capital and view the
statue of Samantha Smith, the Little Ambassador. We
visit the L.L. Bean Store and shopping in
Freeport as we travel through New Hampshire to Albany, NY for
overnight.
Day 14 • Home: Enjoy breakfast prior to departing
today. We will travel across New York state and will have a
luncheon, included as we head home today taking with us many
fond memories of our beautiful Eastern Canadian adventure!
